The aim of this program is to achieve proper execution and respiration techniques by slackening the pace of the exercises, the expansion of joint ROM by expanding the ranges of movement, working the muscles in several directions.
By mobilizing the spine and giving the spinal muscles a thorough workout, it helps prevent back pain.
The exercises are complex, a full routine is made up of simple elements - each exercise gradually developing from the previous one. The advantage of this is that the participants can stop at any time to practise until they master the appropriate technique (e.g. not using arms or legs when working out trunk).
Endurance is continuous, taking place in the aerob zone, and it is symmetrical – thoroughly working out the upper and lower body, right and left side, agonist and antagonist muscles (identical and opposite side muscles) simultaneously.
The flex of the aimed muscle groups, and with this eccentric muscle work takes place slowly, therefore with great effect.
The program also contains stretching ,which – in the physiological aspect, as well the aesthetic aspect (prevention of cellulite) plays a significant role in the healthy functioning of muscles.
It strengthens the deep muscles – therefore taking effect from the inside -, the spinal muscles, and the Core muscles which all give the participant the proper gait, enhance muscle tone, and boost self-confidence . Moreover, endurance takes place in the fat burning zone.
The exercise program of MAT developed from the elements and routines of gymnastics and aerobics. As a further result of its development, it includes simple muscle enhancing and balance conditioning elements, as well as exercises to develop co-ordination abilities. The above routines on basic level are built on the flexing and stretching of muscles, while the advanced level includes elements with similar movements to those of dance, ballet, and tai chi.
Using meditative and slow music mentally helps release tension, regenerate and facilitate the healthy flow of energy in our body.
Meditative Aerotraining – MAT – is copyright, and a popular course at Wellness Congresses.
